Our clients were excited to obtain land in Toowong. Toowong is a high demand market conveniently located less than 5km from the city with an enviable range of facilities.
They wanted these houses to be where new owners could relax and spend time with their family away from busy city life. For the purpose of this case study we have focused on one of the properties, it allows us to be able to provide a more in depth view of how this project progressed.
Our design process begins with an initial meeting to explore the project's design briefs and ideas. From there, our team worked together to develop concepts for how that specific space could be designed using trace paper as a guide and then converted into a 3D visualisation tool.
The real-time feedback from our clients is vital to their experience. They can explore the 3D model and comment on what they see in the design model, which allows us as designers to have further refinement if needed.
Though the overall concept of this house remains true to its original sketches, many more minor changes have taken place. After a lot of hard work, the builder priced the construction and was able to get started.

The house is built on a sloping site which was so big we cut in to form a giant underground basement to be used as a garage and storage and spread the house over three levels without the house being classified as a three-storey.
This single-gabled, Hamptons style house with a front feature void and stairs at entry is perfect for a homeowner who wants to make their home stand out.
The wainscotting provides a lovely finish to this beautiful home! There are oversized balconies at the front to take in the views, leading to an open plan living, dining, and rumpus area on the ground floor.
A 2m long sliding door at the rear makes entertaining easy with the living area flowing onto the alfresco patio, pool and backyard. A butler's pantry creates more storage and preparation space in the kitchen. Leading up the stairs to the first floor, which contains five large bedrooms, including the master with a walk-in robe, ensuite and parents retreat on the balcony.
